Stockbridge Colonies Steps, Edinburgh Collage with Acrylic and Ink 2015 This is my home turf - I live in the next street. I did some work based on the Stockbridge Colonies almost three years ago, and it feels right to go back and explore those steps.
WHO: Ian Murphy WHAT: Venetian Canal WHY: I like the use of mark making to add depth to the drawing. I also like the way the piece guides your eye into the vanishing point becasue of the leading lines.

Here's a beautifully detailed #WIP #architecture #illustration by Minty Sainsbury (@minty_sainsbury) of Lincoln Cathedral which is also known as the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln in England. No matter how many times I see Minty's architectural drawings I am consistently left in awe of the fine illustrated details.
