The owners, Tom and Nancy Reitze, purchased this historic Craftsman-style home for $1.3 million in 1995, according to public records. Built in 1906, this Greene & Greene-designed home typifies the American Arts-and-Crafts style that the architect brothers, Charles and Henry Greene, helped popularize. The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, according to National Park Service documents.

The picture is an example of a Craftsman home. This type of houses were originated entering this period.  These types of homes feature porches with overhanging roofs, tapered or square columns supporting the roof, a hand crafted look using wood and stone including inspiration from a famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
