Ireland- Malahide Castle is one of the oldest castles in Ireland. It has served as a residence for Talbot family since 1185 and til 1975. In period of 1649-1660 the castle was run by Miles Corbet after the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland. After Cromwell’s death the castle was returned to Talbot family.

Hohenwerfen is an eleventh century military embattlement which has endured many wars and campaigns and a colorful history of intrigue and drama. Hohenwerfen was built during the Imperial Investiture Controversy by the order of Archbishop Gebhard of Salzburg as a strategic bulwark atop a 155 m (509 ft) high rock. Gebhard, an ally of Pope Gregory VII and antiking Rudolf of Rheinfelden, had three major castles extended to secure the Salzburg archbishopric against the forces of King Henry IV:
