Barcelona. In 1882 Gaudí was proposed to continue the building of the Catholic Church Sagrada Familia (Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia), dedicated to the Holy Family, the first stone of which was laid a year earlier. Forty years of his life Gaudi spent for construction of Sagrada Familia, and still the project is complete, because it is built only on private donations. All work will be completed by 2026.
