Elderberry Medicine: To make a cold infusion of elderflower all you need to do is place a few heads of the flowers into a jug of fresh water, leave to infuse for a couple of hours and drink the heavenly yet delicately flavoured water throughout the day.
It's time to harvest nettle seeds when the flowers are fluffy and droop heavily down toward the stem. We like to dry them in a paper bag and then mix with sesame seeds, sea salt, dulse or kelp flakes, and milk thistle seeds as a gomasio-type seasoning to sprinkle on food. Kiva Rose has some great articles on using (dried) nettle seeds to support the adrenals. Careful, fresh nettle seeds can be stimulating! #mywildlife #herbalacademy #myherbalstudies #wildharvesting
