Wood Netsuke Carved as a Lotus Pod  A Nagoya School wooden netsuke carved and patinated to form a lotus pod with moveable seeds. Netsuke artists were great observers of nature in all its forms. This netsuke was carved with great care, as seen in the water droplets along the stem and veining with stippled details on the exterior. Excellent condition with no damage or restoration.
