PG tips - Digger TV Advert. Series. Again, this is another advert that's humorous with an overt meaning, but it's still informative. It's revolved around showcasing advantages over similar products - showing the audience the product's USP and the benefits it offers. It is creating brand identity by comparing it to 'lesser' products of the same category, but it's done in a way that's going to intrigue the viewer.
I have chosen to use this image of the 'Go Compare man' as people will recognise him and have mixed feelings. This is an example of an advert being catchy although it did cause an uproar because it was annoying and so it divided opinions within the viewers. This is always a risk for a brand trying to catch the eye as they will not want to go overboard and it become more annoying than interesting to the viewers.
