New Orleans Beignets

New Orleans Beignets - I won't actually make these because they're the last thing I need to be making. But I repinned so I can look at them, and reminisce about breakfast in the Quarter, with hot beignets and an iced cafe au lait. Mmm

Fry Bread. The bread is traditionally made with lard and its texture depends on how it is fried. When deep fried it is fluffy and has a texture similar to Yorkshire pudding or popovers. When shallow fried, it is crisp and has a decided cracker-like crunch when bitten. This bread, like all fried doughs, is best eaten straight from the fryer.

Ground Coriander and Cilantro Flatbreads

These are amazing on the grill. Roll them out really thin & flat. Change up the spices in the dough & it makes an awesome pizza crust.
