Riverside Hospital, North Brother Island, NY - has been untouched since 1963 when it was used as a hospital and quarantine station. It is now completely abandoned.

North Brother Island is in the East River between the Bronx and Rikers Island. It was used until the as a quarantine hospital, but has been abandoned and closed to the public since then. This building was a nurses' residence.

Johann Petursson, was born in Dalvík, Iceland on 9 February 1913 and was known as "The Viking Giant", and as "Jóhann Risi" (Johann the Giant) and "Jóhann Svarfdælingur" (Johann from Svarfaðardalur) in his native country of Iceland.
