The Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland. Name given since the 16th-century to a succession of streets which form the main thoroughfare of the Old Town of the city of Edinburgh in Scotland. As the name suggests, the Royal Mile is approximately one Scots mile long.It runs between Edinburgh Castle down to Holyrood Abbey.
"View from Sharpnose Point" The amazing coastline just a few miles from where I live. This was taken looking north from Higher Sharpnose Point towards Lucky Hole and Cotton Beach just south of Hawkers Hut, near Morwenstow north of Bude in Cornwall, England, UK. A notoriously treacherous coastline for shipping and with stories of smuggling and wreckers luring ships to their doom with false lights. Photo by & copyright Richard Brookes.
