Chitrakoot Falls in Chhattisgarh. The falls on the Indravati River plunge from a height of 95 feet. The breadth of the river increases substantially in the monsoon and the water turns muddy with eroded soil and silt.
Found swarming on an orange half that we put out for the birds. Gross, but amazing, and apparently harmless! These are also flying around all over the place the last few days -- ever since the monsoons perhaps? Hmmm.... Identified as cGreen Fig Beetle (Figeater Beetle/ Green Fruit Beetle) - Cotinis mutabilis
