Slugs will be attracted by beer & drown. Empty in the morning & repeat. Use sand or gravel around the garden. Slugs can't move around without a moist surface. Caffeine kills them. Spread used grounds around plant's base or saturate with leftover coffee. 50/50 Ammonia & H2O & Squirted on them kills them
