Algernon Henry Wilson Bankworth survived by putting on a heavy fur coat and life jacket, which buoyed him. He eventually pulled himself onto an overturned lifeboat. More than of the aboard the Titanic died.

William Rowe Richards survived the sinking (lifeboat 4) and was picked up by the Carpathia disembarking at New York City on Thursday April 18, 1912.

*WILLIAM THOMAS STEAD ~ passenger on the Titanic from Middlesex, England. He boarded at Southampton, England as a first class passenger. Ticket Cabin number: William Thomas Stead was lost in the sinking of titanic on 15 Apr his body was not recovered.

Along with its passengers and crew, twelve dogs were also onboard Titanic. The twelve canines were brought onboard by ten of Titanic’s First Class passengers and their families, including John Jacob Astor. Out of the twelve dogs onboard only three survived, a Pekinese and two Pomeranians.   The Pomeranians were brought onto lifeboats by their mistreses, Margaret Hays and Mrs Elizabeth Barrett Rothschild.  A Pekinese named Sun Yat Sen was saved by his master,  Henry S. Harper, in Lifeboat 3.
