Chicken and dumplings are the epitome of comfort food, aren't they? What could possibly be better? A delicious chicken and dumplings recipe that is so easy you can make it in your slow cooker. I put this recipe together to recreate a childhood favorite of ours (well, who am I kidding it is a favorite of adults too!).
Baked chicken dumpling casserole 1 stick of butter melted in 9x 13 pan Shredded chicken cooked ...layer on top of butter. Do not stir 1 cup of all purpose flour and 1 1/4 tsp baking powder mixed with 1 cup of milk whisk thin. ...pour on top chicken do not stir Last mix 2 cups chicken broth and 1 can cream of chicken soup together and pour on top...do not stir Bake 400 degree for 45 minutes till golden brown on top....let cool 10 and serve
