The Royal Collection: Fire screen late 1600s the fire screen is 'strongly imbued with French influence'. Edwards & Jourdain suggest that the screen was made by John (Jean) Pelletier, a Huguenot French immigrant craftsman (Georgian Cabinet-Makers, London, 1944, p. 16 & fig. 4).
