The Land Of Oz theme park in North Carolina opened on June 15, 1970 by Debbie Reynolds, accompanied by her then little-known daughter, Carrie Fisher. In its first summer 400,000 visitors came to the Land of Oz. It closed ten years later.
Old, empty and peeling, this house would have been a mansion in it's day. It's surrounded by empty fields and has a majestic view of the mountain. Someone still keeps up the yard, but I think I'll be sad if anyone ever renovates it because it's so beautiful as it is.
Hudson House, Ashland, Alabama - not much is known about the house, though it is speculated that it was built some time in the early 1900's. Reported activity includes disembodied footfalls and voices, a dark figure that walks along the roof, the front door opening and closing on its own and physical contact (not violent).
