Explore The Mid, So Sad, and more!

Daddy fishing on his 'farm' (off S. Hairston & Redan roads) A large property he & 3 other friends bought together in the mid 1940's (after WWII) so they could fish :o) When they sold the property in the 1960's, the development of Hidden Hills Country Club was built. The golf course is now closed & in ruins...SO strange & very sad to me now to see it this way!! And we drive by it a lot when working :o/ So so sad....

I think this was somewhere near Stone Mountain... But honestly, the landscape has changed SO much in the last 50 years that its almost impossible to tell where these were snapped. Even the expressway (78) is totally different. Sigh.... Sadly, I may never know exactly where these were taken!!

Our Lazy Dayz houseboat on Lanier ~ mid-1960's ~ My Mama could dock this houseboat like nobody's business!! When we 1st got the boat, Daddy docked it the 1st time. He took out the power & water to the entire A Dock!!!! He never did it again :o) As soon as we reached our cove, he'd holler, "NANCY!!!" and Mama did a great job. She became a master at it actually!! Skipper Nan ❤

Anchored in a private cove ~ when you could actually FIND an isolated cove! Mama & Aunt Blanche on the boat making cocktails & looking pretty :o)
