A tintype seated portrait photograph of an unidentified Wisconsin Civil War corporal. The image shows the soldier seated, holding his cap on his lap, and wearing the original gray uniform issued by the State of Wisconsin in 1861. Of interest is the fact that the soldier has his belt on upside down. The image could be of a soldier from the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment, as those units were issued the gray uniform in the picture.
