When I look at this lamp, I see a cross between a monochromatic sea urchin and a wild anime haircut. I love the glowing quality of the light and undulating shadows it creates. Can you imagine making this yourself? Well, you can...with scraps of paper and a healthy dose of patience. If you're on the East Coast, maybe this is the perfect indoor activity to keep your mind off the weather this weekend.
Lighting can be a focal point in a space. I chose this image because it preforms double duty. A light source and an art piece. The vertical lines add height to the room as well as the horizontal lines add width and more space. This type of fixture would even look great against a bright coloured wall behind it to change the mood of the space
