Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca Pendula' (Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar) - One of the most dramatic evergreen conifers with its blueish needles and striking waterfall shape. It is hardy through zone 6 and south-facing or sheltered areas of zone 5. Height and width are highly variable but average around 15' tall. Must be trained from the beginning to achieve your desired arrangement of the branches or otherwise it can look sloppy. A real architectural stunner.
Morina longiflia (Himalayan Whorlflower) - This perennial grows to 3' tall and its thistle-like leaves remain evergreen in zone 6 and warmer. The flowers start out white in late spring and turn pink in early summer and then red before falling - which is cool. Hates wet soil.
