Giraldus Cambrensis described it in the 12th century.
A Kissing Gate around Lake Buttermere in Cumbria. A kissing gate is a type of gate which allows people to pass through, but not livestock. This varied walk includes woods, open paths, and an ever changing perspective of one of Lakeland’s pretty lakes. I've done this walk in the past and it's one of my favorites.
