In her final project as Painter in Residence, Agnieszka Krawczyk chose soft pastels from the Chalk Paint® palette to create a delicate and romantic vintage look. Working with Antoinette, Paris Grey, French Linen and Old White, Agnieszka applied the paint in layers then chipped and sanded the paint back to create a natural worn finish.
Fused wall sculpture by Laurel Yourkowski Laurel's plates feature dichroic glass which she and her husband make from Bullseye and Uroboros glass. Dichroic glass requires an ultra thin layer of material to be sputtered onto the glass, normally done under high vacuum. The thin film refracts light much like oil on a wet road, giving the iridescent colours.
