*How to Store Herbs - We love having fresh herbs in our kitchen. If youre the same, then check out a few of our favourites to have on hand, and tips on how to store Basil, Chives & Thyme (from Steven & Chris on-line)
Keep herbs fresh longer by placing them in the fridge inside a glass with a little bit of water in the bottom. Wilt-prone herbs, like dill, might also need a plastic bag placed over the top of the glass.
Trick For Preventing Wilted Salad Greens : Close the top of each bag lightly with your fist, blow into the bag, and fill it with air (carbon dioxide). Then seal the bag by twisting the top a few times before closing it firmly with a twist tie.
Preserve fresh herbs by freezing them into ice cubes. Add to ice tray, add water and freeze. Pop out ice cubes and store in plastic freezer bag and use whenever you need to add fresh herbs to your favorite sauces.
