Checkmate (A Neighbor from Hell #3) There’s nothing worse than living next door to your childhood nemesis, except maybe being forced to share your dream project with him, being blackmailed into going along with something that was just wrong on so many levels, and having your hot cocoa stolen by the person that drove you to drink it in the first place.
I can’t remember the last time I read a book and after getting to the end thought, wow, I would have NEVER figured that twist out. But I did after this one. The “big twist” moment is so common anymore that it’s easy to figure out what it is, but Katie Klein completely surprised me. She didn’t keep me guessing – it’s not like it was a mystery – she just came out of left field with a fantastic whallup! Also, the love story made my toes tingle.
