San Francisco – Chinatown. What a GREAT way to see a city...."lose" yourself with a Garmin and take the roads that look interesting. Ended up in historic Chinatown...very cool to run through. From the Financial District....to Union Square...to Lombard Street...to Alcatraz...to Chinatown...to the Bay Bridge. Loved.
The 16th Avenue Tiled Steps project has been a neighborhood effort to create a beautiful mosaic running up the risers of the 163 steps located at 16th and Moraga in San Francisco. Sponsored by the San Francisco Parks Trust, artists Aileen Barr and Colette Crutcher started working on the project in January 2003.
