The Bridge of Lions is a double-leaf bascule bridge that spans the Intracoastal Waterway in St. Augustine, Florida, it connects downtown St. Augustine to Anastasia Island. The 1927 bridge carry's traffic over the Matanzas River, a picturesque entry into one of America's oldest cities. Featuring marble lions guarding the western portal, tile-roofed towers flanking the draw, and 23 pairs of graceful arches, the Bridge of Lions was an integral component of St. Augustine's historic skyline.
Crab Island Harbor in Destin, FL.Had seen all the boats congregated here every time we crossed the big bridge. Finally on our last trip to the beach, we rented a pontoon boat in Ft. Walton and cruised down and joined the fun!
