New York City we were there the year before 9/11. It wasn't my kind of a place, but we had been travelling for three months and I was tired. Got seriously ripped off by a taxi driver, but I gave him a ticking off and got the money back. Service in Bloomingdales was awful - I was trying to spend money, but they didn't seem to want it! MoMA was great.
