The Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc is a Baroque monument in the Czech Republic, built in 1716–1754 in honour of God. The main purpose was a spectacular celebration of Catholic Church and faith, partly caused by feeling of gratitude for ending a plague, which struck Moravia (now in the Czech Republic) between 1714 and 1716.

The second of Prague's two great churches dedicated to Saint Nicholas was erected in the Old Town Square between 1732 and 1737 on the site of a 13th century parish church. Its architect was Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer, who had also worked with his father on the Cathedral of St Nicholas across the river. Originally a Catholic foundation, the building has also served as a Russian Orthodox church from 1871, and as a Hussite church since 1920.

The medieval town of Kutná Hora, part of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage, is situated approximately 60 km east of Prague. The sources of the beauties and riches of Kutná Hora are in the silver mines that were exploited most intensively in the 14th and 15th century.
