Ibiza wall lizard. Listed as "Near Threatened" but I would argue this species warrants "endangered" status as there are many different "subspecies" on the Baleric Islands of Spain. I'd argue each of this is a distinct species within the genus, but there's yet to be genetic testing done.

POTAMITES MONTANICOLA A newly described species this little guy is native to southern Peru. They live at very high elevations of around 1000 meters at night where it drops to the 50s and 60s. No infomration on conservation status is available- the species is not assessed yet- but if the species itself isn't endangered, the cloud forests that is live in certainly are. From the initial reports it sounds like the lizard is already very rare.

Researchers discovered a new species of brightly colored lizard that lives far higher in the mountains than their closest relatives.
