Bouncing bunny Rosie’s hopping days were nearly numbered when she broke her leg in a fall. But luckily, PDSA vets were able to perform delicate surgery to repair the damage and she’s now back on all four paws.
Military Award for Canine Theo, a Springer Spaniel, Lance Corporal Liam Tasker, part of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, 1st Military Working Dog Regiment in Afghanistan in 2010 and 2011. Their role provide search and clearance support, uncovering hidden weapons, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and bomb-making equipment. During his time in Afghanistan Theo made 14 confirmed operational finds, the most any Arms and Explosives Search dog in Afghanistan has found to date.
Six-year-old Labrador, Max, suffered critical injuries in a road accident which left him needing life-saving surgery to amputate his leg. Thanks to the treatment he received at Derby PDSA PetAid hospital, he’s gone on to make a full recovery.
