1. Use store-bought 100% aloe vera gel or extract your own from the plant (though this yields a much smaller amount). 2. Fill an ice cube tray 3/4 of the way with the gel. To stretch the gel farther add a small amount of water. 3. Allow the gel to freeze. This may take 30 min. to a few hours depending on your freezer, but overnight is best. 4. Apply an ice cube to the affected area as needed. 5. If you plan to use all of the cubes, transfer them to a bowl and start a new batch.
