11/22/2012 Final product for Betty's 90th birthday ombre rose cake! 2 boxes Betty Crocker's French Vanilla cake mix (too sweet - I recommend plain cake mix*), & any butter cream frosting recipe (use milk or cream instead of water). I used the Wilton 1M tip & Wilton's gel icing colors: Rose Petal Pink (& a bit of Christmas Red added to final layer to darken a bit). *1/19/2014: I made cupcakes using First Street brand "Moist White Cake Mix" SKU #041512083419 from Smart & Final. Huge hit!
