PRETTY PILLOWCASES -- Bernice Hunt (from left) of Bella Vista, Alma Dickson of Lawton, Okla. and Stephen Hunt of Bella Vista show off some of the 32 original pillowcases they made and donated to the kids at Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter. The Children's Shelter has to provide everything our kids need for up to 45 days, including bedding, so we very much appreciate the creativity, thoughtfulness and tender loving care that went into this heart-felt and very practical donation!

LUGGAGE to the MAXX -- Miranda Dodson of T.J. Maxx (left) recently presented several pieces of luggage and clothing to be used by the kids at NWA Children's Shelter. Luggage is a continuing need of ours because the nearly 600 kids we care for in a year's time arrive with little or nothing but leave with up to a six-week supply of clothing, toiletries and personal items ... and it helps to have something in which to carry it all. A big "THANKS" to T.J. Maxx!

We look forward each year to the amazing gingerbread creations of Ruth Glass, wife of former Walmart CEO and current Kansas City Royals owner David Glass. The detail is staggering! This year's village absolutely captivates the imaginations of our kids. What a wonderful holiday tradition!

THANKS in advance to Bostyn Barron, who has selected Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter for a project in pursuit of the Eagle Scout designation. Bostyn is mounting a luggage drive for our kids. Luggage is a continual need because the children leave with a six-weeks' supply of clothing and personal items. We can't wait to see what Bostyn brings us.
