The Chic Technique: SHINY TEXTURE DEF: Shiny texture reflects light and make the colors in the room brighter. It also makes the room feel larger. WHY: I chose this room because the colors seem bright and I can see things being reflected in the room.
The Multi-Lite was first drawn in 1972 when Louis Weisdorf (DK) did an exception to his own design custom of using multiple repeating elements. Instead it reflects his passion for diversity. Two cylindrical shapes lay the foundation of the lamp and a metal ring encompasses it and anchors the two quarter-spherical shades, which ultimately completes a picture of an iconic design with multiple purposes.
Tom Dixon's Copper Shade is a lesson in elegance using form and purity of materials. I also like how he's taken an old world material traditionally used for cookware, and applied it to this thoroughly modern application - pendant lighting. #TomDixon #CopperShade
