Here's a sketch in progress of formal script with orderly letters all lined up to contrast against the loose quality of the swashes. This is the fourth iteration of this piece each one refined further.  After the initial line drawing I add contrast by building up the weight in layers rather than drawing an outline of where the weight would be added then filling it in.
