South African Air Force C-130B/Z Tail # 404, when it was only 12 years old, now it has celebrated 50 years and is apparently not flying at the moment due to a damaged nose wheel during a landing. At Air Africa Jo'burg 1975. The South African Air Force is operating five of its nine Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, as the others are either being serviced or are awaiting inspections. from SA Defence Web.
