Red-figure Bell Krater, terracotta, ca. 390-380 BCE, attributed to the Choregos Painter, Apulian (Magna Graecia) - on display at Cleveland Museum of Art. A colossal bust of Dionysos dominates this scene. The image may symbolize the god's dominion over wine and theater. At left, a phlyax reaches for a cluster of grapes, while at right another phlyax holds a large skyphos (a two-handled deep wine cup).
