Wrinkly, crinkly, lumpy, plump, textured leaves from some of the Peperomia that help make up my jungle. Peperomia make great additions to any collection because of their charm and easy care requirements. And they are so easy to propagate! The Snake Plant is one of many types succulents that grow pups. What exactly is a pup? It's a new plant that grows from the base of the parent plant, hence, a pup (it's kind of like the chicks from hens-and-chicks). These pups can be left intact and will provide a thicker bushel of Snake Plants. Or they can be removed and planted on their own, thus creating a whole new plant. After it was taken from the parent plant, it was placed in water to begin the rooting process. As can be seen here, the leaf has not only produced roots, it has begun growing a pup; which is just another way of saying baby plant. And now the whole leaf is ready for potting. www.peace-of-nature.com
