The Weirdest Stuff at MWC 2016
Tech trade shows probably rate just below TED Talks when it comes to unexpected or weird things happening, but those rules seemingly don't apply at Mobile World Congress. Maybe it's something in the Barcelona water (cava?), but every year here I encounter people, products, and situations that range from whimsically amusing to downright bizarre, and I'm here to share them with you.
The Booth Babes of MWC 2016
Unlike CES, which has a tendency to dial up the sleaze factor, the booth babe situation at MWC is decidedly more toned down. But make no mistake, most of the big booths hire people to pitch their products, and those people tend to be young and attractive (and, more often than not, female).
Hands On With the 'Modular' LG G5
The LG G5 looks little like the company's previous flagship smartphones, trading in removable plastic parts for an ingenious, snap-to-open metal design. Its snap-on accessories could make it a uniquely configurable phone, but it also remains small, sleek, and appealing.
