How the Red African Grey was bred:  By breeder Hennie Diedericks  In the late ninety's a lot of African Greys were imported by Jaco Bosman, at that time the biggest exporter and importer in South Africa. All birds with red feathers were taken to Vonk van Antwerpen who then selected the ones he thought carried the red genes.
