Even The Statue of Aphrodite the Godess of Beauty has fat rolls when sitting
A Roman marble statue of Aphrodite Crouching at Her Bath. Hadrianic period, 117-138 AD. The magic of this piece may just be how the goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure is depicted. She crouches as she bathes, her fat on her stomach only adding to the sensual nature of the sculpture. Though beauty standards will naturally change over thousands of years, this piece is an interesting look into how the most beautiful woman in the world was thought to have looked in the second century.
