The Unogwaja Challenge - an epic 1700 km cycle across South Africa followed by the notorious 87 km Comrades ultra marathon - following in the tracks of a man named Phil who in 1930 wanted to run in the Comrades but couldn't afford the bus fair to the start line... so cycled there.

Seeing this young boy cycling to school in red socks just outside Mount Fletcher (snow capped mountains) was a special moment for me during Unogwaja 2012

The Unogwaja Challenge 2012 Documentary. An amazing journey about five friends that decided to retrace the steps of Phil Masterton-Smith (the youngest ever winner of the Comrades Marathon). They cycled from Cape Town to Pietermaritzburg (1700km) in 10 days and ran Comrades (89km) on the 11th day!

I never knew that following a "stupid" dream about red socks would lead to so much let alone a special journey of the heart known as the Unogwaja Challenge

This is the Unogwaja 2013 Short Film titled "Go with your heart" I have goosebumps all over today. It's been the most incredible journey and feel very grateful to have been part of it.
