How to Make a Large Tankard Slab Pottery Mug
This is how I make a large tankard shaped slab pottery mug. A tankard shape is made using an upside down cone shape, so that the widest part of the cone is at the bottom of the mug and the rim is just a little bit narrower. A thumb rest and pinky rest also give it that old tankard look. These are one of my favorite slab pottery designs. The perfect big handmade coffee mug.
