Hiking

Perhaps one of the best places to enjoy hiking is the Drakensberg. Not only is the scenery breathtaking but often one can experience first hand some of the best-preserved rock paintings in South Africa. For those who enjoy more gentle walks through the countryside and indigenous forest, the Midlands Meander has several publicly accessible walking sites.
