Satyrium carneum is a species of orchid endemic to southwestern Cape Province (Cape Peninsula to Stilbaai.), SOUTH AFRICA. Common names: Rooikappie, Rooitrewwa. More than 40% of habitat and subpopulations have been lost due to urban and coastal development.
