İmambayıldı - Oil on canvas (A3) İmambayıldı, literally: "the imam fainted (from exhilaration)", is one of the most notable zeytinyağlı (olive oil-based) dishes found in Turkish cuisine. The name derives from a tale of a Turkish imam (a Priest), who swooned with pleasure at the flavour when presented with this dish by his wife.
