Relief from anxiety can come from an unexpected place...resting on the Sabbath. While many people have taken a day off and gone back to their worries the next day, keeping the Sabbath creates a cycle of rest, self-care, worship, and trusting in God to care for their needs. This can have a tremendous impact on our overall stress and anxiety levels. Give Sabbath keeping a try to break the anxiety cycle in your life!
Sabbath isn't about all the work being done, it's about pausing when there is still work to do.
Resting on the Sabbah is is not something we earn by getting all of our work done or our to-do list completely crossed off. Pausing on the Sabbath day when I still have things to do is a way to honor the Creator by putting him above my tasks and work!
