It saddens me that we live in a society based off of individualistic minded elites who is only worry about keeping and sustaining their wealth through funding wars instead of trying to bring the world together by donating barely a quarter of the money it takes to fund a war to end world poverty

Too bad greedy people prefer the monetary profit from war more than the humanitarian benefit of helping their fellow man.

How did societies views of the homeless and those who are struggling change so drastically? What happened to the concept of helping our fellow man? There is a stereotype imposed on all homeless, that they got themselves in that situation because of the poor choices they made (normally we relate it to drug use), which may be true for some, but certainly not all. Many of those in poverty had an unfortunate, unexpected incident that forced them into poverty. These people should be helped and…
