We were driving between Port Alfred and Grahamstown when we were overtaken by a train hauled by this South African Railways 19D 4-8-2 2763 built by Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns (RSH) of Darlington in 1945. My luck was in because it stopped at Bathurst station and spent quite a while shunting wagons on its mixed passenger/goods train so this allowed me to grab a few shots before it carried on to Grahamstown.
