Every now and then we like to give our backyard chickens a special chicken treat. Sometimes it’s a few strawberries or some leftover lettuce. But sometimes we make a little chicken scratch block that we toss out into the chicken run. It not only gives them a treat, but it also gives them something to do because they have to peck at it for a bit to get the food. Sitting around the chicken coop all day can be a little dull, don't you think? As you can see in the picture, our chickens love it!
